How often is a new version of the RStudio IDE released?

RStudio believes in iterative development and continuous deployment. The daily builds of our software stack are available here for anyone interested.

Since these builds are in development, we do not consider these daily releases to be stable products. Typically we announce stable releases every four to five months. Our major releases are typically once every 9 to 12 months.  We have minor releases more frequently, usually every 2-4 months.

Note that RStudio Workbench (previously RStudio Server Pro) includes the same capabilities at exactly the same time as the open-source RStudio Server; however, we will typically only change our download link for the Pro versions after some additional testing.
